Clubface is everything!!!
Did you know Rory can tell if his grip tape is too big or too small as soon as he holds his club? Tour Van club builders joked in awe that tour player feel is unbelievably sensitive. We say this because one can never overlook the importance of clubface awareness even on a 2 foot putt, a 20 yard chip shot, or a full swing. A great drill is the GATE DRILL where to engineer the impact zone and restrict mishits allowing you to properly path the club, and with clubface awareness you begin to feel square and on target shots. The game can be as simple as distance and direction. The more feel you can possess through the bag with each club, the more consistent you will be during practice sessions and on the golf course.
